Double curtain rod brackets are remarkably useful devices. Ok so double curtain rod brackets may not set the world on fire when it comes to interior decorating – but that doesn’t mean that they can’t be put to good use in making your house look attractive.

Curtains are one aspect of interior decorating that gets a lot of attention. Different styles, different materials, different colors – everyone has an opinion on what curtains work well where. But whilst the curtains get a lot of attention the mechanics behind them don’t.

That’s fine in a way – after all the curtain rod or the curtain brackets aren’t going to win you any design awards by themselves. But that doesn’t stop them being remarkably useful tools. Indeed without them there would be no curtains in the first place.

Brackets

Double curtain rod brackets are designed, as the name suggests, to hold up two curtain rods at a time. Traditionally these brackets are only designed for one curtain rod, which limits the amount of curtains for a window area to one – the double curtain rod bracket allows for an extra rod.

This is very useful for those who like two sets of curtains – most common is to have net curtains and then regular curtains. Double curtain rod brackets are designed to allow this to happen easily, without having to find a way of adding in another curtain bracket.

Of course that is not the only way of using double curtain rod brackets… some people also like to have an extra set of more traditional curtains to help them block out the light, to ensure that they are able to sleep in day time. This is especially useful for those professions that require people to work night shifts, forcing them to sleep in the day time.
